Refinishing your cabinets is an excellent way to update and switch up the feel of a kitchen, bathroom, or laundry room!!! Freshly painted cabinets, when done properly, will look like they were just bought brand new from the factory, and only cost a fraction of what brand new cabinets actually cost. Bird Paintings experts have all of the tools and techniques needed to give your cabinets a makeover that will make you eager to show them off!

Bird Painting also has a designated spray booth at our office for refinishing cabinets, that way we can minimize the disruption to you and your space, and minimize any dust/debris & outside elements from disturbing the cabinets while they are being painted and curing!

Our Process

  • Initial Appointment

    We begin by going over your project with you. We will discuss in detail what you’re looking to achieve, we will take measurements, and we will provide you with a free personalized estimate that is crafted to fit your needs and expectations. We will cover every detail and help with you with your color and sheen selection as well!

  • Preparation

    We understand how important it is to every home and business owner that we take care of their property. That is why this step is vital, as we guarantee to take every step necessary in covering and protecting surfaces not being painted so we can make sure and leave a clean work area when we are done.

    The most important part of every project is the preparation. The preparation is what sets the base for a high quality top coat and finish.

    All cabinet doors & drawers are removed, hardware is removed, and doors are numbered so they may be returned to their original position upon completion. Cabinets are then be cleaned, deglossed/sanded, and cleaned again. Following this a full primer coat is applied, followed by 2 full paint coats, with a light sanding (320 grit) in between each coat.

  • Painting

    All coats are applied via sprayer in order to ensure the highest quality finish on every door & drawer front. Upon completion, all doors & drawers will be retuned to their original position.

  • Cleanup

    Cleanup is a vital step in our process, as we try to minimize our disruption to you and your space.

    We clean up at the end of each day and stage all of our materials in 1 area that is good for you. All materials are placed on top of a drop cloth or tarp so that we do not leave anything on your floors.

    Upon completion of the project we clean up in full and dispose of all waste from the project.

  • Final Inspection

    Upon completion of the project we will walk the entire project to make sure you are happy with all of the work performed. If there are any minor touch ups, we will be happy to address them at this time as well!
